Ksharkarma
What is Ksharkarma?
Ksharkarma is a specialized Ayurvedic para-surgical procedure described in the ancient texts of Sushruta. It involves the use of medicated alkaline preparations (Kshara) and medicated thread (Ksharasutra) to treat anorectal disorders effectively and safely.
It is widely used for the management of:
Piles (Hemorrhoids)
Fissure in Ano
Fistula in Ano
Pilonidal Sinus
Anal Polyps
How Ksharkarma Works
Ksharkarma uses a specially prepared alkaline substance derived from medicinal herbs.
In Fistula (Ksharasutra Method)
- A medicated thread (Ksharasutra) is placed in the fistula tract.
It gradually cuts and heals the tract simultaneously.
Promotes healthy tissue formation.
Prevents recurrence.
In Piles
Kshara is applied locally to shrink and destroy pile mass.
The pile mass dries and falls off naturally.
Minimal bleeding and minimal hospital stay.
